Tesla Optimus

The Tesla Optimus (Tesla Bot) is Tesla’s next-generation humanoid robot under development, combining advanced AI, perception, and robotics. Standing about 5 ft 8 in tall and weighing ~ 73 kg, Optimus is designed to autonomously perform repetitive, dangerous, or mundane tasks — from industrial work on production lines to household chores.

With a carrying capacity of ~ 20 kg, ability to deadlift ~ 68 kg, and walking speed nearing 8 km/h, Optimus is envisioned to be a versatile helper. Equipped with multiple cameras, tactile sensors, and Tesla’s Full Self-Driving compute, it can sense, plan, and interact with its environment.

Currently in prototype phase, Tesla estimates future units might cost between USD 20,000 and 30,000 (though final pricing is unconfirmed). Pre-orders or commercial availability are not yet open.
